Offices (Rule 1006) are positions of authority and responsibility for managing part of the game. The Associate Director of Personnel (ADoP) (Rule 2138) is the officer who manages offices:

• Tracking each office’s holder, delegate, and last vacation (Rules 1006, 2689)
• Initiating and conducting elections, including initiating voting to select between multiple candidates (Rules 2651, 2154)
• Initiating and conducting sortitions, including selecting randomly between multiple candidates (Rule 2691)
• Tracking when each report was most recently published
• Tracking each office’s complexity (bonus to voting strength) (Rule 2632)
• Awarding the Patent Titles of Hard Labor and Employee of the Year (Rules 2581, 2582)
